Member Program

  • To help ensure the safety and security of FTJ’s staff, assets, and resources, which may include, but is not limited to, physical and virtual access controls and access rights management; supervisory controls and other monitoring and reviews, as allowed by law; and emergency and business continuity management; and
  • As otherwise required by federal or state law.

We collect personal information through SMS messaging to send you informational messages, subject to applicable laws.  We do not sell or share your mobile information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.  However, we may disclose your information to third parties for the purposes stated above, described throughout this policy, or with your consent.

You may opt-out of receiving SMS messaging from us at any time by replying “STOP” to any message you receive.  You may also opt out by contacting us directly at 1-800-821-7303.

How and With Whom We Share Your Data

  • Service providers and insurance carriers: We may share your personal information with our third-party service providers, licensed agents, and insurance carriers performing functions on our behalf (or on behalf of our affiliated companies), e.g., vendors that assist with insurance underwriting, policy and claims administration, processing credit card payments, and other companies that provide us with marketing or promotional assistance, analysis of our data, assistance with customer service, support of our website, etc., or as otherwise noted in this policy.  Our service providers are contractually obligated to use this information only to perform these tasks on our behalf, are required to maintain appropriate security protection, and not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

Regardless of how you interact with FTJ and its Divisions, we do not sell ANY information collected to any third parties.

How We Safeguard Your Information

We apply appropriate safeguards to protect the privacy and security of your personal data and to use it only consistent with your relationship with us and the practices described in this Privacy Policy. FTJ takes the security of personal information seriously and we use appropriate technologies and procedures (including administrative, technical, and physical safeguards) to protect nonpublic personal information, including electronically transmitted and stored data. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information to employees who need the information to provide products or services to our consumers or customers. We also require third parties with whom we share personal information to use reasonable precautions to safeguard such information.

How We Store and Delete Personal Information

We will not retain personal information longer than necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is processed, including the security of our processing, complying with legal and regulatory obligations (e.g., audit, accounting, statutory and company retention terms), handling disputes, and for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Tracking & Storage Technologies

We do not use cookies or session storage to collect or store your information.  Instead, we utilize query parameters to facilitate site functionality.  This approach ensures that no data is stored on your device, and no session-based identifiers are retained beyond your current visit.

Do not track signals

FTJ does not track its customers over time and across third party websites to provide targeted advertising and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) Signals.

HIPPA Compliance

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) require covered entities, including health insurance plans, to protect their members’ individually identifiable health information, called protected health information (PHI). HIPAA’s Security Rule requires additional protections for electronic protected health information (e-PHI), which is all individually identifiable health information a covered entity creates, receives, maintains, or transmits in electronic form.

While FTJ is not a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), we recognize the importance of safeguarding PHI entrusted to us.

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards consistent with industry standards and contractual obligations to ensure PHI is protected.

In certain cases, we act as a Business Associate to HIPAA-covered entities.  In those instances, we comply with applicable provisions of the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules as outlined in our Business Associate Agreements.

GLBA Compliance

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) requires financial institutions to explain their information-sharing practices to their customers and consumers and to ensure the security and confidentiality of nonpublic personal information, or NPI.

This Privacy Policy complies with the GLBA’s Privacy Rule and also explains how FTJ complies with the GLBA’s Safeguards Rule.

Your Rights
